DMofT Volunteering Opportunity
Visitor Services Assistant
We are looking for volunteers to join our Visitor Services team and play an important role in welcoming visitors and helping them to make the most of their visit.
Visitor Services Assistants are the public face of the museum and ensure our visitors have an amazing experience. You will join a team of friendly and knowledgeable volunteers and work together to create a first-class experience for museum visitors from all walks of life.
Tasks include – Meeting and greeting, ticketing, selling items in the shop, serving refreshments, answering queries, looking after visiting groups, controlling access to the museum, providing information about exhibits, ensuring the display areas and facilities are clean and tidy and helping to provide a safe environment. You will not necessarily have to take on all these tasks – we will try to match you with the ones you enjoy most.
