Destination Maryfield Tram Depot – Fundraising Dinner

Chairman Jimmy McDonell with guest speaker Deborah Leslie (left) and Councillor Lynne Short (right)

Our inaugural fund-raising dinner was held on 4th November 2016 at the Invercarse Hotel in Dundee. Local businesses, organisations and individuals turned out to show their support for the restoration of the Maryfield Tram Depot and the creation of an exciting visitor attraction that will preserve the transport heritage of the local area. Find out more about the Maryfield Tram Depot project here.

Guests enjoyed a three course meal in the hotel ballroom before being updated by the Museum Chairman on the status of the Maryfield Tram Depot project. We then welcomed after-dinner speakers Deborah Leslie and Willie Hunter who thoroughly entertained guests with their quick wit and humour; they were hilarious! The evening was topped off by a super raffle and fantastic live band who played us into the small hours of the night.
